near the US city of New York. The old name of this island was Bedlodge Island.

France.

the independence that America received on 04 July 1776, was created with joint
efforts by both France and America. Under an agreement between the governments
of the two countries, the American people formed the basis of this statue,
while the French gave shape and form to the statue.
