Muslims make a special effort to pray and listen to a sermon at a mosque and may sacrifice an animal to commemorate the Ibrahim(A.s) sunnah. Muslims also wear new clothes to meet their family members and visit relatives. They also give money to the poorer for helping poorer and bring happiness.
The meat of the Qurbani is divided into 3 proportions. The second part is distributed among relatives and companions. The third part is given to the poor and needy people.
In the period around Eid al Adha, many Muslims travel to Mecca and the surrounding area in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
